Today’s technical products are often the result of a domain-spanning process. Product features can only be put into effect through an interconnection between different disciplines, the outcome being so-called mechatronic products. Interaction of these different disciplines is achieved by computer-aided processes in a model-based way and realized in steps. Here the software plays a most important part as it is indispensable for the implementation of product features.
